Cynthia Scheftic grew up outside of Pittsburgh, PA. She graduated from high school in 1995
and attended Penn State University where she majored in Biology/Vertebrate Physiology and minored
in Health Policy and Administration.
Following her college years, Cynthia worked as an
Associate Scientist for Johnson and Johnson in Sherman, TX. When the facility closed in 2003,
Cynthia changed directions and applied to medical school.
During her application year she taught
for Kaplan helping other students prepare for the MCAT. In the fall of 2005 Cynthia entered medical
school at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, FL. Cynthia’s interests include
emergency and internal medicine.
