Matt Mason was born July 31, 1969, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He enlisted in the US Navy after
graduating from high school in 1987. After serving four years, which included deployments to
Saudi Arabia during Operation Desert Storm, he returned to Alabama.
Matt attended the University of Alabama for a short time with his studies focusing on
computers and business management. He entered into the computer and technology field working in
network administration, programming, web development, and client services.
In January of 2003, Matt returned to school and attended the University of South Florida. He
graduated in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Bio Medical Science and a minor in Bio Medical Physics.
